Always stop to look for the way in the map? That is history with the new ADAC hiking and cycling tours apps for Android smartphones.

Two Android apps help cyclists and hikers: The ADAC app “Bicycle Tours 2017” offers 7,000 trips in Germany, including topographical maps, a language-guided navigation function and an individual tour planning. The app “ADAC Wanderführer 2017” introduces 15.000 tours in Germany over stock and stone.

Cyclists and hikers who have activated the navigation mode will be shown their own location along the route, the next crossroads and the expected time to the destination and, if desired, also announced. Individual tours can also be planned: After entering the start and finish points, the apps suggest a suitable route.

All tours are detailed on the topographic map on a scale of 1: 25.000: with details of the difficulty level, pictures, current weather information, a height profile and a detailed description including the course of the course.

The complete tour information including the map can be downloaded and used on the road without internet connection. With the Android Wear support, both apps also point the right way on the Smartwatch.

The new ADAC apps “Bicycle tours 2017” and “Hiking guide 2017” for Android are available for 4.99 Euro (£ 4.3) each in the Google Play Store.
